Five Smooth Stones of Liberal Religion: #5

Live in hope.
 - R. Lloyd Ryan summarizing James Luther Adams

I'm a pessimist, but that's not to say that I'm not hopeful. I live for each day knowing that I have words to share, and no-one quite sees the world the way I do. That is the thing that keeps me getting up in the mornings: to share the way I see the world. Sometimes, reading or hearing my words are enough to help someone else through one more day. It's empowering to know that my words can be so influential and powerful.

I live in hope that I'll touch someone. I know that I'm unlikely to reach my dream by touching the hearts of many people at once. My way leads me to touching the world one soul at a time, but that is my Way of the Ninja (sorry, bad Naruto pun).

If I can live in hope, a mildly depressed pessimist with extraordinary bad luck, than there's no reason you can't too.
