TIMM Tag of the Week, Vol 16

Tag: dance

Few things seem more beautiful to me than the graceful flowing of limbs and bodies across the world's stage, perhaps because I find so little ability in myself to capture or recreate it with anything but words.

"Angels Take Me," Thursday, January 2, 2014
The subtle green dance speaks not of human bodies in fluid motion here, but instead of nature's dance, both the animals and plants, mountains and rivers, that all beat to their own rhythm that civilization has, if not destroyed, then drowned out.

"Sincerest Form of Flattery," Sunday, May 19, 2013
As the quote goes, Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but sometimes artists see it as theft instead. I however, love the sparring matches and trade-backs that go along with dancing with another artist, bouncing replies to each others' work with snatches of verse.

"Untitled," Tuesday, September 13, 2011
We all have ghosts, but sometimes they're indistinguishable from reality until you engage with them. This comes from the opposite perspective, as the narrator isn't sure if he's the ghost or not, and begs you not to try to touch him, lest he fade away.
