Reasons

...Something I share with you is sometimes something that I need to hear. If it doesn't apply to you, feel free to feel smug.
 - Rev Dr Lindsay Bates

I write for a lot of reasons, and one of them is to simply just get the words out of my head. When I set them down in written or typed text, they become more real, not just the swirling incorporeality that jostles all of the other thoughts I have to deal with and makes it hard to think straight.

One of the other reasons is to convince myself of something, remind myself of who I am, what I am, and what I'm trying to do. If it applies to you as well, that's all and well and good, and power to you, thanks for tuning in. I'm grateful that so many people can find meaning in my words, especially when I try to target a much smaller pool. (It certainly makes my task of trying to touch everybody's heart a little easier if I can get multiple of you in a single go. (That was a joke.))

And if whatever I've said isn't relevant or helpful or sensical to you and/or your situation, feel free to drop me a line, and I'll see what I can do. Or look through my long list of tags down below the post, and you'll find something. Or just wait until next week. In the meantime, feel free to feel smug, if you want.
