Busy Busy Busy

Wow! Today has been a whirlwind, and it's finally winding down. I'm in my new apartment now, preparing for my first night, and quite enthusiastic about it. I'm nice a exhausted on top of everything else, so there's no reason for me not to get a decent night's sleep.

Went for a good walk after dinner, something I'll undoubtedly find myself repeating until I can work up the strength to increase my pace, and eventually, add some weight. I'm a little concerned about wandering around in the neighborhood of some folks who won't leave me alone on the web, even though our dispute is five years old (and counting) and the adults of the family have long since forgiven me.

For those of you who read When War Arrives, know this: those mentions of arming myself were not the first time I have considered such measures. Unfortunately, Illinois law limits me in many ways, especially when it comes to treating concealed blades, even those of legal length, exactly as they treat guns. I think it's unfair, but then I don't feel I necessarily need a blade to protect myself--a correctly sized piece of wood or two work just as well, if not better (because only someone with my forethought of fighting would be able to use them against me effectively, and these enemies think little of that).

I bid you all a good night, and hopefully I will have a more interesting topic of discussion on the morrow.
