The Hardest Part of Writing, I

The hardest part about being a writer is coming up with an idea worth writing about. Originality is damn near impossible, so instead, I am to take a new perspective of an old idea. I have a project I've been trying to flesh out of years: a group of random people with superpowers.

It's old hat for most readers, except I'm coming up with a list of folk with powers you don't hear about. It will most likely be a collection of short stories rather than a single tale, and you won't be hearing any mentions of flight, invisibility, time travel, super speed, or super strength. Too many stories already talk about the big talent, and as far as I am from becoming big talent myself, so I want to write about the lives of people with incredible powers, but none so significant that they try for anything more than humble, quiet lives.

I've been building this project for several years. How many people and powers do I have?

Of those five, how many have I released information about to my audience?

What sort of professions did those two hold?

Poet and Auctioneer. How humble.
