If-Then Conjuration

If parents are supposed to be responsible for teaching their kids skills they need to survive life's lessons, why don't they do they same for pets?

I mean, sure, sitting is a good thing, laying down is a good thing, but the only thing I can see roll over for is if your dog gets set on fire. I'm at a loss how you'd train your dog to roll over if it was on fire, but think on that for a few moments.

What about teaching your dogs not to accept food from strangers? That's one right out of the parenting handbook. Or not to eat things that aren't good for them. Can you picture that? Dropping some chocolate on the floor, and your dog turning its nose up at it?

Now that would be a useful trick.
