Four Rules

There are only four rules you need to remember: make the plan, execute the plan, expect the plan to go off the rails, throw away the plan.
 - Leonard Snart, from The Flash

November hadn't even started yet, and I'd already broken my plan for it.

I had plans for November, and maybe the problem was that I made those plans back in August, and kept right on digging into and prepping them right up until October 30th.

And then on the 31st, I got an idea for a series of short stories. And that's all I've been working on.

But it's a series of short stories, and while yes, they are intended to be interconnected by shared characters (with the plan and hope that I can design them to be read sequentially so I don't have to introduce people more than once).

Short stories are easier for me anyway. Lower word count, tighter story line, less opportunity for fluff and padding... that's how I prefer to write anyway.

You never know, maybe I won't burn out this time. That would make for a nice change.
